About Us

Sri Annai Natiyalaya Dance School is an institution established by the great dancer, choreographer and teacher Guru Smt. Gayathri Venkataramani. This institution specifically follows the Pandanallur style of Bharathanatyam. This institution was initially started in Madurai in the year 2005 and later moved to Chennai in 2007. This institution majorly focuses in educating not just the art form but also about Indian Mythology and Culture. This is a government recognized institution renowned in teaching the learn the nuances of Bharatanatyam.

Guru

Smt. Gayathri Venkataramani alias Nevatha Venkataramani, is an accomplished dancer, brilliant choreographer, renowned Bharathanatyam artist trained in Pandanallur style. She is the founder and faculty of Sri Annai Natiyalaya Dance School for the past 17 years in Chennai. Our Guru has completed her Adal Kalaimani at the Govt. Music College, Madurai under the guidance of her Guru Natiya Vishradha, Natiya Vidhagi, Natiya Bodhaga Rathna Smt. Sabetha. Gayathri Mam has also accomplished her Nattuvanga Kalaimani at the Govt. Music College, Chennai under the guidance of her Guru Natiya Sironmani, Natiya Jyothi, Natiya Vithagi, Natiya Kala Saraswathi, Natiya Kalaimani & Nattuvanga Kalaimani, Dr. Smt. Chitra Subramani. Smt. Sabetha and Smt. Chitra Subramani are the direct disciples of Padmashree K.N. Dhandayudhapani Pillai.
